Inspired by the essence of a pure and elegant woman in imagination, Katina TKL embodies three core principles: Elegance, Softness, and Purity. Every detail flows from this vision—a keyboard not only shaped by aesthetics, but designed to convey emotion. This work represents a shared journey of creativity, with iNN Studio providing the foundational platform to refine, realize, and deliver XIONG's original vision as a complete product experience.

Hot-swap
The internal assembly is suspended above the bottom case by the silicone columns, while limiting pins from the top case insert into the columns, restricting planar movement.
In this mode, the entire internal assembly makes no hard contact with the case. Simultaneously, the limiting pins introduce a subtle sense of firmness, giving a character best described as resilient.
With plateless mode and 3.7mm available travel space, the typing experience on the alphanumeric zone becomes notably soft and bouncy.
Katina TKL adopted a configuration of 5 upper and 3 lower O-ring bosses to support the internal assembly.
It also employs standard D3.5 silicone O-ring and includes compatible clearance cuts in the plate for screw-in stabilizers. This delivers a typing experience that is moderately soft and acoustically focused.
The design is compatible with most mod parts and accessories readily available on the market,
e.g. Nexuros X Geon ‘s PCB Snap & Key Snap
The Katina TKL can also be configured in a top-mounted mode using M2 cup head screws fitted with custom silicone sleeves.
The degree of screw tightness can be adjusted to influence the down travel to some extent, while the plate makes only minimal contact with the screw heads.
This design effectively isolates vibration and unwanted noise, resulting in a solid typing feedback.

Located above the arrow keys, the decorative area draws inspiration from the architectural concept "Door of Order." It consists of three refined elements: a stepped nameplate structure, a softly diffused central light, and a finely machined texture line. Together, they create a cohesive visual narrative that balances design intention with emotional resonance.
Bezel
Precisely proportioned bazels—9.5mm top/bottom and 4mm left/right—achieving a balance of intentional whitespace without visual bulk. All four sides taper subtly inward, enhancing its elegant and slender silhouette.
Sculpted Silhouette
The side profile of Katina TKL is defined by an original "Dual-Arc Curve," inspired by the elegant contour of an hourglass. This flowing line is accentuated by a subtle inflection point, lending rhythm and softness to the form. Throughout the design, auxiliary lines—such as the waistline and bottom case line—are carefully integrated not only as transitions but as stages for light and shadow, establishing a harmonious visual order.
Floating Sensation
Emotionally, Katina TKL continues iNN’s exploration of a "Floating Sensation." Through precise coordination between the bottom case and external weight, a gem-like cut-out is subtly embedded in the middle. Visible only from certain angles, this restrained detail conveys a sense of quiet presence—as though the keyboard rests lightly upon the desk, inviting a moment of contemplation.
Structure in Balance
The rear view of Katina TKL is composed of three thoughtfully integrated elements: the lower case, an oversized external base weight, and a finely contoured weight plate. The generous use of materials such as stainless steel or red copper creates a striking visual presence, while the extended 18cm span of the weight block is balanced by elegantly curved crescents along its upper and lower edges. These flowing lines not only soften the sense of mass but also echo the hourglass-inspired silhouette of the keyboard’s side profile.

The major design of Katina TKL's Deluxe eddtion is adding non-tactile patterns onto a mirror surface to achieve more complex, advanced aesthetic expression and emotional conveyance. Meanwhile, while pushing material and craftsmanship to their absolute limits, we've also prepared an abundance of design details to complement the 3D interior trim—including accent engraved patterns and deluxe logos.

Project Origin
The Birth of Katina: 'A Story of Creative Synergy'
In August 2025, designer XIONG arrived with a single concept sketch that would become the beginning of something special. From the moment we saw the initial drawing of Katina, we knew it resonated deeply with iNN Studio's design philosophy and pursuit of aesthetic excellence. This marked the start of a collaboration built on mutual respect and shared vision between designers XIONG and Sen—a partnership that would bring Katina to life.

Development phase
From a Shared Vision to a Refined Reality
September 2025 witnessed the project evolving with pure passion and uncompromising standards.
XIONG led the 3D modeling efforts while both designers worked in tandem to refine and iterate on the design. Under Sen's guidance, the keyboard's base structure gradually took its final form, while XIONG continued to perfect the proportions and silhouette. It was also XIONG who independently conceived the original accent design on the front face. By the end of the month, the model had been polished to near-perfection, and Sen began steering color selection and configuration planning—bringing the project into clearer focus.

First Release
From Community Voice to Final Form
In early October 2025, the initial interest check was launched on Zfrontier under the names of iNN Annex and XIONG, receiving widespread attention—particularly the Floral version, which quickly gained popularity within the community. We received over a hundred interest forms and actively incorporated feedback from enthusiasts, collectively finalizing the production colors and configurations. In response to community input, Sen took the lead in developing an additional accent piece and lighting solution. With that, the project officially moved beyond the drawing board—ready to become a tangible reality.

Arrival of Samples & Next Steps
And Now: The Journey Continues
We are excited to share that the first four prototypes of Katina are now in production, including two Classic editions and two Deluxe editions. These units will make their debut at the 2025 ZFX x Weplay Meetup Shanghai, starting November 22nd.
Upon receiving the prototypes, we will immediately release typing tests and introductory videos, and announce our global review unit program. The review initiative will begin in late November and continue throughout the entire group buy period.
